About The Event:

LALA Arty Party: Gift Crow Celebration

“LALA Arty Party: Gift Crow Celebration”, taking place Friday, September 26th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 8th Street Plaza at Heartland of America Park, next to the Skate Ribbon.

At the heart of the event is the debut of “Gift Crow”, a striking new sculpture by local artist Reneé A. Ledesma, followed by remarks from both Ledesma and Weston Thomsen, Co-Director at LALA.

The evening also includes a performance by Mariachi Femenil Tecalitlan, an appearance by the River City Mixed Chorus, locally designed inflatable sculptures, and a lively celebration of LALA artists and their work.

RSVP’s are encouraged.

This free, family-friendly event will feature live performances, food vendors, a gallery of local artists, and the debut of a brand-new sculpture, all spotlighting the incredible talent nurtured by LALA and its community partners.

Guests can explore and purchase original artwork from LALA-supported visual artists inside the ADU space with check or venmo.

Event Schedule:
5:30–6:30 PM – Mariachi Femenil Tecalitlan Performance
6:30–7:00 PM – Spotlight on “Gift Crow” by Reneé A. Ledesma + Remarks by LALA

The sculpture’s plaque will read “Here, we merge with the spirit of the crow, holding both wisdom and mystery—seeing the past and the future while standing firmly in the present, reminding us that our connection with nature is what grounds us yet allows us to soar.”

This event is open to the public and suitable for all ages and all dis/abilities. Come experience the joy of local art, meet the artists shaping your community, and take part in an unforgettable evening.

The sculpture is sponsored by LALA (Local Artists. Local Art.) and The RiverFront. Created in collaboration with Walla Walla Foundry, Puritan Manufacturing and Bruning Sculpture.
